Huawei Watch GT 5 specs leak ahead

Huawei Watch

Huawei is gearing up to launch its new Watch GT 5 series on September 19, 2024. Just days before the official unveiling, renders and key specs of the smartwatch have leaked online. The leaked images show the watch in two sizes – 41mm and 46mm.

Both models mostly retain the design from last year, featuring a rotating crown and a secondary programmable button. The 41mm variant seems to be available in two colors, Jana Blue and Jana Gold, while the 46mm model is shown only in Black. According to the leak, the watches will have a metal bezel, a stainless steel body, and 5 ATM water resistance.

The 41mm version will sport a 1.32-inch AMOLED screen, while the 46mm model will have a larger 1.43-inch AMOLED display. The battery life is expected to last up to 7 days for the smaller model and 14 days for the larger one.

Huawei Watch GT 5 features unveiled

The new watches will likely include Huawei’s updated TruSense health monitoring system, which was unveiled last month in China. This system promises faster and more accurate health readings, allowing users to monitor key metrics like heart rate, SpO2 (blood oxygen saturation), and body temperature with precision. The leak also reveals a new Health Glance feature that offers quicker health assessments.

Users can check over 10 indicators, including ECG, arterial stiffness, stress levels, and cardiovascular risks, all within 60 seconds. For fitness enthusiasts, the smartwatch is expected to support over 100 sports modes and include built-in navigation (GPS, GNSS). While pricing details for the Huawei Watch GT 5 are still under wraps, rumors suggest it will start at around €250 ($277).

The official launch event on September 19 will provide more information about the watch’s features, pricing, and availability. Huawei fans and smartwatch enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of this new addition to the Watch GT series.
