The next Apple Watch models are almost here. On September 9, the tenth anniversary of the first Apple Watch announcement, we’ll see the Series 10 unveiled. A new report claims to reveal some design details.

The most striking claim is that Apple will use the flat screen design currently found on the Apple Watch Ultra and Ultra 2 for the Series 10, according to a leaker. This would be a big change, since apart from those two Ultra models, every Watch has had a curved display since the first model was revealed a decade ago. Another reported change is the increase in size for the regular Watch models.
The leaker predicts the smaller case will increase from 41mm to 42mm, and the larger from 45mm to 46mm.
The upcoming Apple Watch SE 3 may feature a new plastic casing to keep the cost down

Apple Watch flat screen transition
This size increase matches some predictions but goes against others that suggested case sizes of 45mm and 49mm.
As for the flat screen, it’s still not certain if Apple will fully switch to this design. The images shared could be real, but the definition is not clear enough to be sure. Another leaker suggested that the design changes might be limited to size, with the overall look staying similar to Series 9.
There is also talk about a new Apple Watch SE with a case possibly made of plastic rather than metal. This points to a new design but doesn’t confirm the shape of the glass. Overall, while there are several exciting prospects for the upcoming Apple Watch Series 10, there are still many questions about its final design and features.
