GTA 5 rumor: Coming to PC Game Pass

GTA PC

According to a new rumor, the popular game Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA 5) may be coming to PC Game Pass soon. Rockstar insider Tez2 recently tweeted that Rockstar Games is preparing GTA 5 to be playable on Xbox’s PC Game Pass for future availability. GTA 5 was previously available on Xbox Game Pass for console players from July 2023 to January 2024.

However, it was removed after six months without any explanation. The game was also taken off the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog around the same time. If the rumor is true, this would mark the first time GTA 5 is available on PC Game Pass.

GTA 5 could join PC Game Pass

The game would reportedly run through the Rockstar Games Launcher, meaning it won’t support mods available in the standalone PC version. It’s important to note that the rumor has not been independently verified, and neither Rockstar Games nor Xbox has made an official announcement.

Until confirmation is provided, this information should be taken with caution. GTA 5 remains one of the most popular and influential games of the past decade, with its online multiplayer mode, GTA Online, contributing significantly to its longevity. The game’s potential return to Game Pass, even if limited to PC users, has generated excitement among fans.

As the gaming community awaits further developments, the anticipation for GTA 5’s possible inclusion in PC Game Pass continues to build. In the meantime, Rockstar Games is working on the next installment in the series, GTA 6, which is scheduled to launch in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
