Revel Run: Daratonys Transform Golf Club into Diverse Hub

Daratonys Transform

The once-bustling Reddeman Farms Golf Club in Washtenaw County is getting a new lease of life thanks to the Daratony family. Now called the Revel Run, the 150-acre site is being transformed into a multipurpose epicenter.

Brothers Brian and Gary Daratony are working to turn it into a hub of agriculture, local sports, and social events. They plan to create a functional farmland, cultivating farm-to-table vegetables, fruits, and sustainable livestock. Plans are also afoot for a sand volleyball court, football and soccer pitches, and a walking trail.

But their vision doesn’t stop there. The family plans to include wedding and event venues in the remodeled buildings, maintaining and enhancing Revel Run’s natural beauty for guests. The aim is to combine recreational, gastronomic, and scenic experiences all in one place.

This isn’t the first such project by the Daratony family. Over previous years, Jim and Darlyn Daratony transformed the property into a multifunctional zone encompassing an equestrian park, event hub, and child-friendly biergarten, retaining traces of the original golf course.

Their hard work and innovative vision have made this place a vibrant community space. It’s a spot that caters to varied interests, from horse riding to events and casual family gatherings.

With the arrival of St. Patrick’s Day, Revel Run is unveiling The Foxhole. This biergarten offers a serene environment to enjoy horse-themed cocktails surrounded by lush greenery.

But the family’s vision for Revel Run extends beyond drinks. They see it as a platform for a range of indoor and outdoor activities, from live concerts and food truck festivals to equestrian events and wedding celebrations. They aim to create a meeting point that brings together various experiences for all people to enjoy.

Because of their history in the horse business, the Daratonys also intend to make Revel Run a gathering spot for horse lovers. They’re now equipped to host national-level competitions and training programs. The place also has stables, pastures, and state-of-the-art equestrian facilities.

All this, alongside the family’s commitment to their core philosophy of horse-centered fun, is set to put Revel Run on the map as a nationally recognized equestrian hub.

However, equestrian activities aren’t the sole focus. Revel Run also boasts event venues known as The Overlook and The Silo, which are growing in popularity for corporate events and birthdays. Despite the challenges of transformation, the Daratonys are excited about officially opening Revel Run to the public.
